FREELANCE PROJECT MANAGER 

The Callaway is hiring a freelance project manager for independent contract work starting immediately. Successful candidates will have at least five years’ experience in public relations focused on lifestyle, fashion, beauty, design, F&B or hospitality media. Prior agency experience as a project manager or an equivalent senior-level position is required. 

The project manager is a client-facing position that will potentially handle multiple accounts at once, making the job a fit for professionals who are highly detail-oriented, thorough and responsive. The position will report to Libby Callaway, CEO.

Candidates based in Nashville will receive priority consideration. However, a candidate’s strong leadership skills, as well as critical thinking, efficacy, positive attitude, versatility and experience will trump their geography. The winning applicant will be a mature, well-spoken self-starter and independent worker. They will have exemplary communication skills, especially strong writing abilities. 

The project manager will provide day to day oversight of one or more of the accounts of designated clients of The Callaway. Duties include but are not limited to: identifying and pursuing press placement in local, regional and national markets (Muck Rack experience helpful); social media strategy and execution; influencer relations; story pitching; writing press materials; client reporting; digital ad buys; written asset creation; and managing client budgets. The position will have access to an account assistant who can provide support as needed.
